I live at Saddlebrook farm, a horse farm located in beautiful Shelby County Alabama. Saddlebrook farm is a boarding barn that provides 20 indoor spacious, stalls that surround a lighted indoor riding arena. Saddlebrook farm encompasses approximately 140 acres, fortunately, a comfortable environment for that early morning or late evening hack! We have an outdoor Dressage arena that is nestled in a blanket of serene Alabama wilderness.
The primary riding emphasis here at Saddlebrook is focused on Dressage. There are also active equestrians here who favor Three day eventing.
My wife, Becky Johnson, is currently competing in dressage at the Prix St. George level. Her current ride was a beautiful gelding named Finnerly. Finnerly is an eight year old chestnut Dutch warmblood who was just purchased by Marrina Quintana of Mexico City. Becky and Finn have been very successful at this challenging level of dressage competition. Competing at this level requires an incredible amount skill for both the horse and rider.This skill can only be acquired by years of relentless training. Fortunately for Becky, she has trained and schooled horses since she was a child. We wish Marriana all the best with Finnerly, we know that they will complete a perfect partnership between horse and rider. Expect to see a lot of Marriana and Finnerly, they will be going places! We expect to see them as serious contenders at the Young Riders Championship that is coming up soon.
